The Tale Behind the Art
Growing up in circumstances that had their own challenges as a child, creation became my oasis. Something as simple as paint and paper turned into a magical doorway and allowed me to escape my reality.
I turned my small bedroom with its broken windows that let in the winter chill, into a sanctuary, its walls alive with charcoal drawings and oil paintings (just imagine how fun that was to remove when I moved out, yes I painted and drew directly on my walls, everywhere!) Within those four walls, I found a freedom I couldn’t find anywhere else. Art became more than a pastime, and it may sound extreme but it felt like survival, even if survival meant small achievements and half finished paintings, it was still a language of healing, and a portal into a place that provided me with such a sense of empowerment and purpose.
Years passed, and art remained at the core of who I was. But in April 2024, after the birth of my last baby, my world shifted again. Postpartum depression held me still, and honestly there were moments when I wasn’t sure if I could go on. It was the DARKEST time of my life, and I am so happy to be past those feelings now.
For months I was nap-trapped on the couch with my newborn, too exhausted to create, but aching for that sense of escape I had always relied on. So I turned to books. I read and read, discovering in stories the same solace I had once found in paint. Books offered me magic, hope, and a lantern in the dark, and slowly I began to feel myself again, page by page and chapter by chapter, and book by book.
Now, I bring those two worlds together. I create art inspired by the stories that save me, in all the forms my heart calls to: sculpture, stained glass, paint, and more. Each piece is an echo of healing, of resilience, and of the beauty that can be found even in the darkest seasons.
My work is not just art, it is testimony. It is the proof that beauty can grow out of hardship, that stories can save us, and that creativity can bring us home to ourselves.
Today, every sculpture, every wing of glass, every painted surface carries within it the same truth I discovered as a child: art heals, stories transform, and creation is freedom.
And at last, my heart begins to heal again with every piece I create and every story I get lost in.

Take a minute to write an introduction that is short, sweet, and to the point. If you sell something, use this space to describe it in detail and tell us why we should make a purchase. Tap into your creativity. You’ve got this.
Make it stand out.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
