Sculpture
Forged with love and intention
This painting of Terrasen is on a 21×25” double thick canvas. In the painting you can find many elements from the series such as The Lord of the North and Rowan. When I finished this painting I created a custom antique glaze to make the painting appear from an old scroll.
On top of the painting is sculpted books, with Goldryn piercing through them. The books spell “To Whatever End”
This art piece is framed in a solid oak frame, and all of this is made from hand, from beginning, to end… to whatever end.
There is so much I could say about this piece, I will begin by explaining how it makes me feel.
These two swans are intertwined together sitting against an abstract backer, everything has been hand cut, sculpted and hand painted to bring life to its final composition.
They stand lovingly against a starry sky which is clouded over using different texturing mediums to create light and shadow between the difference of darkness and light, from the moon's luminescence.
There is an abstract pull to this piece as drops of sky fall down behind them, creating the most loving, whimsical feel to this piece. When I look at this piece I feel a flaming bond between these two love swans, as they intertwine eternally against a milky sky.
Framed in oak, made from the soul.
